Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is the wireless use of electromagnetic fields to transfer data; for the purposes of automatic identifying and tracking tags attached to the particular objects. RFID has been recently used by the Mercedez-Benz facility Emirates Motor Company in Abu Dhabi to further enhance benefits received by customers as well as the company. RFID is the latest technology that is in trend recently. 
 

It offers benefits such as the identification of customer's name, numbers plates of the car, and other relevant information; 
when attached to one of the Mercedes Benz Car. RFID Collaborates with the cisco wireless lamp in the car dealership in providing such service. Furthermore, with the assistance of RFID, customers are able to locate their car in times of need such as theft.
 
Security of the car will also be strengthened by having an alarm to be triggered in the case where the car is being removed without authorisations. Lastly RFID enables customers to track the status of their vehicle during service reducing "waiting time" and improves the company productivity as they do not have the pressure of having the customers to wait  on the spot.

  2. Insightful article. Never realised technology has advances to such stage. This really is a crucial factor for in my next purchase of my motor vehicle. It does outweighs most of the flaws in getting a car.
