Starbuck has their own digital marketing strategy i've just realized how starbucks gone digital. Hmm Free wifi HMMM. I mean it turns out that free wifi not for free. You might think it's confusing why i was saying it it's free wifi not for free. It's because of the marketing reasons and i'll be explaining further throughout this post.




So basically there are many strategy used by Starbuck as i observed since weeks ago and doing a bit of research about it so by starbucks reward point from every single coffee purchases and social media posting therefore customers will be loyal as the reward point can be used for further purchases. Secondly not only the social media but the mobile marketing by tracking coupon usage, applications download and periodic surveys.





I also promised you above that i'll be explaining about why am i saying that the free wifi is not really for free and might be a disadvantage for some people and for some reasons. As the free wifi of starbuck is actually aming for the powerful data collection tools therefore every customers who log in with their wifi will be recorded and so the company can get the information about the websites visited by customers. Therefore that information can be used for next marketing strategy such as for example forecasting to put the advertisement in the specific page that actually visite by starbuck's customers. Moreover not only for creating marketing strategy however it also acts as an evaluation to serve the starbuck's customers better
